Dr.AHMED IBRAHIM MAHMOUD
A. SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Mahmoud is a senior researcher in military affairs, the head of terrorism studies program, and editor in chief of the minthly (Strategic Papers), Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies in Cairo. He obtained his B.A. from Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University (1986), and a Diploma in African Politics from the African Studies Institute, Cairo University (1992) . Also, He got his M.A. Degree from the same institute, Titled (Civil Wars in Africa: A Study in the Reasons and Result) (2000). He obtained his Ph.D degree from the African Studies Institute, Cairo University, titled (Conflict Resolution in Africa: A Case Study of Somalia from the Beginning of 1990's), (2004).

He is working at Al-Ahram Center since 1988 as a researcher and as a senior researcher in the military affairs research unit. He published many books, chapters, studies, and articles in the strategic affairs, African politics, and the military aspects of the Arab-Israeli conflict . He is a political commentator in many T.V. news channels in Egypt and the Middle East, Such as Al-Jazeera Satellite Channel, Al-Arabia TV, Abu-Dhabi TV, Nile News Channel, Kuwaiti TV, BBC Arabic Radio.. and others.
